The murine pathogen PCR testing profile includes the following agents:
- Mycoplasma
- Sendai
- Mouse hepatitis virus (MHV)
- Pneumonia virus of mice (PVM)
- Minute virus of mice (MVM)
- Mouse parvovirus (MPV)
- Theiler.s meningioencephalitis virus (GDVII)
- Reovirus 3 (Reo3)
- Rotavirus
- Ectromelia (Ectro)
- Lymphocytic choriomeningitis virus (LCMV)
- Polyoma virus (Poly)
- K virus (K)
- Mouse adenovirus (MAD)
- Cytomegalovirus (MCMV)
- Lactate dehydrogenase elevating virus (LDHV)
- Mouse thymic virus (MTV)
- Hantaan
Specimen requirements: 2 vials containing a minimum of 1 X 107 cells/vial.
Cost of the testing: Please refer to rate schedules available on the DLAM website.
Turnaround time: approximately 10-14 business days.
Individual PCR tests for murine pathogens are also available upon request.
A completed requisition sheet (available at the lab) should accompany the specimen.
The following information is required:
- Investigator's name
- Department
- Protocol #
- Recharge ID #
- Contact person's name
- Contact's phone, pager or FAX number
- Specimen ID
- Specimen species origin
The DLAM Lab is located in CHS, room 5V-113. Cell line specimens are accepted Monday through Friday from 7:00am until 3:30pm.
