Re: Policy Update Regarding Certification for the Protection of Human Research Subjects [PHRS]
Good morning and welcome to UCLA Human Research News.
The Office for Protection of Research Subjects announces an updated policy regarding Certification for the Protection of Human Research Subjects [PHRS].
As you are aware, the Biomedical and Social Behavioral Sub-Modules of the UCLA PHRS course were valid for 2 years from the date of certification. Effective immediately, the PHRS certifications for the Biomedical and Social Behavioral Sub-Modules have been extended indefinitely. You may print a copy of your revised certificate from the certification web site [ http://training.ucla.edu/ ].
Please note: the Principal Investigator is responsible for ensuring that all investigators and key personnel have completed the PHRS certification course prior to engaging in research activities.
